willie-charity1You may have thought after launching Jura Prophecy, that was us for this week with that fine island. Not so. Here’s another one to say “hello, how are you,” to – Jura Fortunach. And there’s only one bottle of it.

But you’ll need to travel to taste it. To WhiskyFest San Francisco to be precise.

A few distillery managers and master blenders were asked by Malt Advocate to create something special for WhiskyFest San Francisco, which we were delighted to do – especially when we heard that 100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit Meals on Wheels San Francisco. So Jura’s Master Distiller Willie Tait and I went and pulled together some special whiskies.

There’s a beautiful story behind this fine whisky, involving Willie’s family and you can read that over at the WhiskyFest Blog.

These whiskies are bottles 1 of 1 and will never to be repeated. Tickets to WhiskyFest will not be available at the door, so buy your tickets as soon as you can. You can order tickets online at www.maltadvocate.com or by phone in that wacky American way of numbers and letters at 800-610-MALT.

And come back later in the week to hear about the whisky I’ve put forward for the event.

And for those of you thinking this is suddenly the Jura blog – far from it. Later in the week we’ll have some wonderful Whyte and Mackay news.

One Response to “Now this is a limited edition whisky… Jura Fortunach – just one bottle”

I wish I had some notes on this before the show… Might just have to just wing it… I will be poking around the 1 of 1 tables.

    Cheers,
