This week’s WhiskyCast (which I’m sure you all subscribe to) features the Dalmore 40 and Mark Gillespie gives it an incredibly high score – a 97, which – as Allison House pointed out on Twitter - that’s the highest score ever given out. Only one other drink has ever been given this high score – the Black Bowmore.

Anyway, you should subscribe to WhiskyCast. Some people think it’s a bit long as it always runs to around 50 minutes or so, but I think it’s just perfect for a drive or a good walk. And thanks to Mark Gillespie’s kindness we’re able to bring you the review below:

But what’s this he also mentions?

That’s the wrong Thursday he’s got. The event is taking place next Thursday, October 15. The invites are out, most of the RSVPs are in and in a couple of hours people may start to get an idea what the event is about…

But I’m not finished blogging today. Come back tonight if you would be so kind…

  2. Thanks, Richard! I’ll make the correction this week…and to clarify a point, most WhiskyCast episodes run in the 30 minute range, but when I get an opportunity to interview really interesting experts on whisky (present company included), I’ll let the show run as long as it takes to get the entire interview in.
