At the recent World Whisky Awards, held by Whisky Magazine, the Whyte & Mackay 40 year old (links to buy it here) was awarded Best Scotch Blended Whisky  and Best Scotch Blended 21 Year Old and Over.

On the back of the two award wins by the Whyte and Mackay 30 year oldBest Blended Whisky at the International Spirit’s Challenge and the William Grant Independence Trophy for Best Blended Scotch Whiskylast year, it’s a great time for these beautiful whiskies (and I’m sure the bloggers who tried them at the blogger meet-up agree too).

Anyway, let’s talk a little more about the 40 year old and reveal a few secrets about the contents…
